Role Summary

We are presently working on a number of exciting commissions, and have a job vacancy for a positive and pro-active individual to join our team.

A permanent full time position is immediately available for an enthuastic and talented Architectural Asssitant. The position will include working on an interesting range of new design projects in the education, residential, commercial and medical sectors.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistants or recently qualified Architects to join our friendly team. The level of responsibility would depend on experience, but you would be heavily involved in project through all the stages, from concept design, through planning, detailed design and on to site.

Range of work and responsibility gives excellent experience and opportunity for advancement to Part 3 and beyond. 

Successful applicants should have achieved a 1st or 2.1 honours diploma / masters degree or equivalent, have the right to work in the UK and have UK experience, ideally within the private residential sector. You must be able to demonstrate strong design and technical / detailing skills, and confidence to work autonomously and as part of a team. Good hand drawing skills are a bonus.

Office, 5 minutes from the M6 with a strong social emphasis including annual trips out, sports, office lunches and drinks. 

Essential and desirable criteria

The ideal candidate will have a Degree, Masters or a Post Graduate Diploma with some practical experience. Part II qualified on a course accredited by the RIBA and ARB.

The successful job applicant will need to demonstrate the following skills and personal assets.

  • A good knowledge and awareness of Architecture and other design.
  • An enthusiastic and committed work ethic.
  • A commitment to continual improvement.
  • A professional image and appearance.
  • A thorough and organised approach and comfortably able to manage themselves and others.
  • Excellent English language and communication skills supported by confident presentation skills.
  • A detailed knowledge of UK Building Regulations and technical design solutions.
  • Experienced in timely and organised management of design commissions and office workload from inception to completion.
  • Accurate, efficient, inventive and creative technical and detailing skills supported by fast, effective presentation of work.
  • A proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and office programmes. A familiarity of Photoshop, and 3D packages will be beneficial.
  • Excellent English language and communication skills supported by confident presentation skills.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work within the UK, hold a UK valid driver’s license and have the use of a car.
Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate:
  • An understanding of the business of Architecture.
