Celebrating Excellence: Transforming The Willows Primary School into a Functional and Secure Learning Environment

Croft Architecture is proud to announce that we have been awarded Best Non-Residential Extension or Alteration at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2023 – West Midlands for our work on the extension and alterations to The Willows Primary School, Lichfield. Designed by our Managing Director, Carl Croft, this project demonstrates our commitment to creating thoughtful, functional, and impactful spaces for education.

About the Award-Winning Project
The Willows Primary School project involved designing a solution to extend the existing school, addressing the need for additional flexible learning spaces, enhanced administration areas, and improved circulation. At the heart of the design is a new secure main entrance, ensuring safety while creating a welcoming and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors alike.

Recognition on a National Stage
Winning this regional award also qualified us for the LABC Grand Finals, held in January 2024 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London. Competing against some of the best architectural projects across the country was a privilege and a testament to the excellence of our design and execution.
